Where is Red Robin? Who wants to steal from the world’s most famous man? And whatever happened to Stormwatch?

So, what have we learned Match-heads?  Well, let’s see…

  • The New 52 – Futures End takes place 5 years in the future
  • Firestorm is sporting a new look in this future. I was rather happy with his current costume, but this future costume looks pretty slick!
  • It’s possible Firestorm killed a member of the Justice League.
  • If I had to hazard a guess, it looks like issue #3 Firestorm will be center stage.
  • Finally, based upon a previous interview with Dan Jurgens, this 5-years-later Firestorm is composed of Ronnie & Jason.

My thanks to Michael A. Burstein and Ryan Daly (Count Drunkula) for the heads-up on these solicitations! Be sure to pre-order these from your comic dealer! Show your support for Firestorm!

My hard drive is rapidly dying. It’s replaceable, but with my upcoming travel schedule it might be as long as two weeks until I’m up and running again.

Therefore, you may not see posts here for a little while. When I’m able to post, I will. Otherwise, keep watching our social media feeds for Firestorm related news. I can do those easily from my phone with no real interruption of service.

CW and Danielle Panabaker bring Killer Frost to TV

Actress Danielle Panabaker is joining the cast of the upcoming CW TV series The Flash as Caitlin Snow. Snow is described as a highly intelligent bioengineering expert who lost her fiancé during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs.

Match-heads will recognize the name Caitlin Snow as the alter ego of The New 52 incarnation of Killer Frost. In case you missed her origin during Villain’s Month in Justice League of America #7.2: Killer Frost, here is a brief recap from Wikipedia:

Dr. Caitlin Snow is a scientist sent to S.T.A.R. Labs Outpost #72 in the Arctic to work on a thermodynamic engine whose creator has committed suicide. However, she soon discovers the place has been infiltrated by H.I.V.E. agents, when they tried to kill her inside the engine Caitlin frantically ripped of the coolant system merging her body with ice. Transformed in a heat vampire, she killed the H.I.V.E. agents and continued to search for other sources of heat eventually discovering Firestorm blasts can temporarily heal her condition.

Below is the cover to Justice League of America #7.2: Killer Frost (September 2013). Caitlin Snow’s version of Killer Frost is currently appearing in Forever Evil: A.R.G.U.S.

Below is a photo of Danielle Panabaker, the beautiful actress scheduled to play Caitlin Snow on The Flash.

Danielle Panabaker scheduled to play Caitlin Snow on The Flash

Keep in mind they haven’t specifically stated that Killer Frost will appear in the TV series. However, it’s a safe bet that if Caitlin Snow is a character, Killer Frost can’t be too far behind. I can’t help but wonder if we can get Firestorm supporting characters Killer Frost and Felicity Smoak on television, what are the chances of getting our favorite Nuclear Man on the small screen?

Below is a news round-up on Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow being added to The Flash. My thanks to the legion of Match-heads that gave me a heads-up on this news: Daniel “Cynical” Adams, Luke Jaconetti, Keith G BakerOscar Olalde, Daoud Faquiryan, Dave Cox, Clark Edwards, and Matthew McKinnon-Gray.

We wish Danielle Panabaker big congratulations on landing this role!
