With all the craziness surrounding the cancellation of The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Man, I failed to post the solicitation for issue #20 coming in May. Below you’ll find the cover and the solicitation!

Overwhelmed and beaten by a crew of Super-Villains, Ronnie and Jason are about to find out how bad things can get when Firestorm is labeled a living weapon of mass destruction and slated for dissection!
Also worth mentioning, Firestorm appears on the cover of Justice League #20! Rumor has it most of the recently-added Justice League members are temporary, but Firestorm will be a permanent addition to the team! Cover and solicitation below!

The PROLOGUE TO TRINITY WAR continues as a revelation about Batman could destroy Wonder Woman and Superman’s relationship! Plus, in the backup story, the penultimate chapter of the tale of Shazam finds Billy Batson learning the shocking secret of Black Adam!
While I’m not looking forward to the end of the Firestorm series, I am looking forward to the stories within these issues!
Support Firestorm! Fan the flame!
I thought the rumors Firestorm would be permenent were fact… well that kind of kills my what I like a bout fire storm post. I still say they need him in the League.
Last panel of Justice League 17. Hard to see, but underneath the Scarecrow pic is what I’m assuming is a pic of Killer Frost (looks similar to the underworld unleashed version). You dont see a lot, but thats my take.
It looks like Firestorm is replacing Flash and Green Lantern. I know GL is busy but I haven’t seen Flash on the cover of Justice League for a few issues.
Also one of my favorite parts of Superfriends was the friendship between Firestorm and Cyborg. I wonder if Geoff Johns will revisit that.
@Corey, Vic and Ronnie were both jocks, so that would make sense that they might gravitate towards each other. And all three of them were on the younger side, so again, makese sense.
Shag, you and I seem to be in a similar situation, as Hawkman’s solo title ends but he is getting a spot on a high profile team book. I have to wait until my DCBS box ships to read JLoA #1 but the word on the street has been very good. So here’s to a continued life for both of our heroes in the team setting.
(Although a year ago, if you had told me that Hawkman and Firestorm would only have team books, but Katana and Vibe would have team and solo books, I’d have laughed in your face.)
The solicit for FIRESTORM #20 says “overwhelmed and beaten by a crew of super-villains…” Perhaps Jurgens will give us Killer Frost, Multiplex and Slipknot in the finale!
@Corey – Geoff Johns mentioned that he will be playing up a friendship between Cyborg and Captain Mar–er, Shazam, in part because of their youth. Maybe Firestorm will be part of that dynamic.
@Luke – Johns’ take on Hawkman in JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA is… different that we’ve seen before.
The thought that DC is at least keeping firestorm around in Justice League after the cancellation of his solo title is good news however I’m really losing faith in the direction of the new 52. Since the relaunch some titles have gotten better while others I used to love have fallen off my pull list. I’ve been a DC faithful for most of my life but for the first time ever Marvel is dominating my pulls and firestorm being gone is just one less DC book for me to care about every month…
