I love the reference to Rick Springfield! So does anyone remember why Superman wanted Firestorm to create that transparent sphere?

    It was from the JLA/JSA crossover that also starred the All-Star Squadron who went up against Per Degaton. I believe the great George Perez did the covers to the crossover and I believe it was a four parter, two issues of JLA and two of All-Star Squadron (the JSA did not have a comic of there own at the time).

    Patrick got it! It was JLA #207 by Don Heck, part of the “Crisis on Earth-Prime” storyline!
