  1. See, Rob CAN act! At least I hope he was acting!

Well, that was fun. I loved the song at the end. A little auto tune and you guys could be on Radio Disney or something.

I think dropping the “Human” from The Flying Fish’s name would help a bit. I do think Frank is right (gasp!) and that owning his lameness may be the only way to work the character. Look what Gail Simone did with Catman!

I think Slipknot should team-up with The Hangman from B&B #177. He stole the guy’s schtick, after all! http://www.dcindexes.com/features/comic.php?comicid=7048

I do like Slipknot’s costume, despite the dual boob windows.

Will Smith as John Stewart. Well, now I think DC just wasted Smith on Deadshot. Thanks Ryan.

I’m kinda “meh” on the Suicide Squad movie. I think Joker and Harley look ridiculous, and I really hate where they’ve went with those characters in the comics in the last decade. I also hate Harley’s trampy reimagining. Totally undermines the sexy but playful essence of the character for me. That being said, I’ll probably go see it.

Now go let Rob and Shag out. I need my Who’s Who fix for next month!

    Chris

I won’t hear a bad word about the Suicide Squad movie because no matter what eventuates it prompted DC to create more reprint volumes of John Ostrander’s Suicide Squad trades. It exists in the universe for the GREATER GOOD OF HUMANITY on that basis.

Fun episode with Hank and Brian. Those two could make a go of podcasting some more I reckon.

Ohh man, this was a ton of fun! What a great idea, and great work from both Frank and Ryan! I actually really like the Human Flying Fish, despite his obvious goofiness. I would love to see someone (and I think Jeff Parker would be perfect for it) put some real effort into resurrecting all of these short-lived Aquaman villains and give them a second lease on life.

I agree with Earth 2 Chris, just dropping the “Human” from his name would go a long way to making him viable. Other than that, the reimagining he got in Tad William’s run is a good step in the right direction. I think that the basic sense of what the hosts were saying about this fellow is right. He shouldn’t be a villain driven by passion. It should be about him, not about Aquaman.

I’ve actually got a version of him based on the latest iteration in my DC mod.
