  1. I went right to Stella’s wonderful Batgirl To Oracle podcast after this episode and my brain is still trying to claw its way out of my skull after hearing “She’s Hot (Remix).”

  2. DC does seem to be doing some “counter-programming” for us old farts these days. I have to give them credit for that. Good to see classic creators like Conway, Wein and Barr getting a chance to show the newbies how it’s done.

  3. Now if only they’d do something similar for Superman. Instead we get Max Landis, the current direction in the main books and whatever the hell Neal Adams is doing.

THe one bright spot is Dan Jurgens and Lee Weeks’ six issue mini-series but even there he’s in a different costume.

    Sigh.

Great episode as always. I look forward to more SDCC talk.

I don’t fully understand why DC keeps taking decent selling Justice League b-teams for a year or so tour, then canceling them and launching another. It’s really hard to commit to any of these things when they released Justice League of America with 50+ covers and much hullabaloo only for the hotshot creative team to dump it less than six months in for Forever Evil while lesser hands spun their wheels for another year only to cancel and relaunch again. Having already been burned, I didn’t buy United, the same thing basically happened, and now I’m putting the run together out of dollar bins at shows within the same year these comics were released. At least United got a few fun mini-arcs with quality talent, even if the Mera appearance tied into The Run Soon a To Be Forgotten.
