Great episode! I had a couple of thoughts while listening.

The observation that the Spider-Man episode feels like a DC take on the character is spot-on. Listening again, it becomes more apparent when you hear the Superman swooping sound when Spidey swings on his web down to see Draco at the end of the story. And I wonder if these were written during the 70s when MJ was on the scene and that was why she was included in the story. I think I had the large LP of this record in the late 70’s.

Is it just me or do all of the four Marvel Power Records from the Spider-Man vs the Man Wolf record (which are all broken up into the 45s with books) all have some really downer endings? Every one of them ends on a bummer note — Hulk is captured, Spidey walks off lamenting that no one believes that he’s innocent and the FF finds the Thing having to go track down the Mole Men to rescue his girlfriend. I can’t recall off-hand out the Captain America one ends, but I seem to recall it’s a bit of a bummer as well.

Great work on the podcast. Looking forward to hearing more!
