i would love the firestorm shirt!!

    yay!!!

  3. Keith Samra says:

    Shagg and Robb,
New Zealand is indeed a deadly place to live! It’s a surprise that the human race hasnt been eradicated here yet, with all the Killer Bunnies, Man Eating Flys, Toxic Rain and Razor Sharp Tree Branches…

I kid ofcourse, NZ would have to be one of the most safest places to live… Creature wise. Crime is an issue… But thats everywhere I guess.
The only dangerous animal/creature attack that I ever came across was a shark warning at an East Coast beach we were surfing at.

Now Australia is another story. They have snakes and spiders, and snakes that eat spiders! But I lived there for a couple of years in my youth, and other than the heat, there wasnt much to worry about. You were usually safe from anything poisonous in the city areas.

Great show guys… Really going to miss Reis and Prado on the Aquaman book, but atleast we have them on JL.
Dan Jurgens is kicking all sort’s of candy ass on Firestorm, so 2 out of 3 isnt bad!… Not saying that Paul Pelletier is doing a bad job, just that “the boys” (as Robb likes to call them) are a hard act to follow!

  4. Joe Slab says:

Wait, so Rob’s supposed (imagine that in italics) to be the Aquaman guy on this podcast right? LOL (maybe he was just tired!)

Guesses as to who fired the missiles? Waller, S.H.A.D.E, Xebel, the Amazons, the Secret Society of Super-Villains, whoever’s holding the Scepter of the Dead King, Vulko himself ( I mean how was he in Metropolis???) the Operative /Scavenger, Rodunn…just to throw out a few.

We held a Twitter-poll early on asking everyone to tweet their picks for who sits on the Throne at ToA’s conclusion and we got Vulko, Arthur, Orm, Mera, Garth, Black Manta, Kaldur, Ambush Bug, & Aquadog as picks…

The follow-up arc to ToA is entitled “Death of A King” and it goes back to all your questions about the 1st arc and “Who Sank Atlantis?” in typical GJ style (think about how he added to the mythos in early Green Lantern years).

Yes, everyone is younger in the New 52 and no Batman should never talk as much or be as emotionally sensitive as he is in the Batplane!

Kudos, on a great podcast guys. One technical issue is that even with my volume turned up to max, sometimes I can’t hear rob…meanwhile Shag sounds like Rick Dee’s and can be heard in the next room 😉

  5. Siskoid says:

Either t-shirt would be cool. I’m a fan of both characters, though for some reason I have trouble reading both at the same time. I’m never into both at once!

Shameful t-shirt confession: In college I had not one, but TWO Ghost Rider t-shirts. The 90s one. One white, one black. I can’t believe I wore those things. Like, ALL THE TIME. Shame… SHAME!

That said, I would never feel the same way about wearing an Aquaman or Firestorm shirt. They’ve got REAL cred.

  6. Keith G. Baker says:

-Love that someone else caught on to the Orm/Namor comparison. That was my 1st thought, too.
-Re: Supes/WW: Didn’t the Clark/Diana scene in Smallville seem a bit risqué, or was I the only one who saw this as post-coital chit-chat in his childhood home.
-Absolutely loved the Aquaman/Gordon/Bullock scene to open AM #15. Best line of the book was from Bullock when asking if AM’s “gimmick” was that he was from Atlantis: “Mad Hatter ain’t from Wonderland, is he?” Having him ask about those that didn’t make it and not the ones that had been saved was a spot-on characterization of Gordon.
    -Mera’s hot
-I hope that the flooding of Metropolis, Gotham, and Boston carry thru in continuity in the New52. At least for a while. 100 feet of water in the street, thousands dead, not to mention infrastructure….this SHOULD have long-term ramifications. However, I know better. Just wishing in one hand, ya know?
-I could see Vulko in the JL as a Dale Gunn type (even though I despise to reference JLD in any way).
-It’s very interesting that Orm just assumes that Arthur has taken over the surface world.
-You guys mentioned Bats being chatty in AM15. I see that as some connection he’s made w/Arthur that Johns is trying to establish. Bats has a respect/trust for AM that he doesn’t have with most. Dead parent connection? This is why Bats gives him the leeway that the others don’t. He seems to be pairing up the JL (Flash/GL, Supes/WW, now Bats/AM. Though this leaves Cyborg as the loner, but now that GL is gone maybe Barry will be Cyborg’s spades partner) …..then Arthur grabs Bats by the goozle, so who knows where this is going.
-I’m in for a t-shirt if you’re giving them away. I’ll take either, if I win, but Shag knows my 1st choice.

  7. Siskoid says:

Oh yeah, like Keith, I really liked that Orm/Namor comparison. Unlike Keith, it was not my first thought, so it sounded inspired on the podcast.

And Keith, isn’t Dale Gunn slated to appear in the Vibe series? Or is that just a joke I took to be fact?

  8. Keith G. Baker says:

    Siskoid,
I assume everything I hear about Vibe is a joke until proved otherwise.

  9. Siskoid says:

    The best strategy.

  10. ManjitD says:

Last time I was in Florida an Alligator was causing a traffic jam outside of my hotel, I don’t think anyone was wearing a firestorm t-shirt, but if I had one then…

  11. Sean Koury says:

Sure, I’ll take a shirt. Either or is fine.

Another great episode guys. Can’t wait for the next one (next week?)

  12. Keith Samra says:

Ok, my theory on who fired the missles… The U.S. Government! So they can sanction the Justice League of America! Because the “Justice League” cant be trusted or controlled!

I bet that either Steve Trevor, Amanda Waller or General Eiling atleast knew about it or hit the button themselves…

    Thats just my theory though.
