While my favorite JLA covers are the trio of 195-197 (favorite story line, too), this cover is in my top 5. Prof Stein shows why he’s a card-carrying member of the JLA.
I haven’t read much of the satellite-era JLA, so this is actually the first time I’ve ever seen this cover. And… I LOVE IT! This is such a fun image and concept. The heavy hitters of the League–talk about a really intriguing lineup, by the way–laid low by the psychic threat of Hector Hammond, and all that stands in his way is the psychic essence of Martin Stein!
A bit of Fire and Water serendipity with Aquaman and Firestorm lumped together, almost face-to-face. And interesting seeing the ladies on the bed (nice cleavage, Dinah!), while the men are spread out on the floor. Thanks for sharing!
