Recently I’ve been posting some sketches here from Fury of Firestorm artist Yildiray Cinar. Today we’re going to look at some more sketches, this time of the international Firestorms! Luckily for us, Yildiray has been kind enough to post his beautiful sketches on Twitter and Tumblr. Thanks, Yildiray!
Below is a character study of Firehawk, the French Firestorm, posted to Yildiray’s Tumblr! I really dig the hair and wings!
Below is a stunning sketch of Pozhar, the Russian Firestorm! When Yildiray posted this to Twitter, he described it as a “doodle”. Geez, that’s an amazing doodle!
Below is another Pozhar sketch! This one was done as a warm-up exercise and posted to Tumblr.
Below you’ll find Yildiray’s design for the British Firestorm, Hurricane! This one was posted to Tumblr.
Below is Yildiray’s design for the rogue Firestorm protocols! I LOVE this design! One of my favorite Firestorms! This one was also posted to Tumblr.
Below is a character study of Rakshasi, the Firestorm of India, premiering in The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men #10 in June. This was posted to Twitter.
Finally, not an international Firestorm, but still a gorgeous drawing with an international flavor – Justice League International! Yildiray drew this as a warm-up to prepare for the Firestorm/JLI crossover and posted it to Tumblr.
Awesome artwork! I can’t wait to see Yildiray Cinar’s art in the next issue of The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men!
Support Firestorm (and Yildiray Cinar)! Fan the flame!
I love design sketches ..and these are great.
That Firehawk piece is masterful.
These sketches are so awesome, especially in their raw forms. My favourite is definatly the Rogue Protocol. Firehawk looks really kool. And im most looking forward to seeing Rakshasa. The name says it all. Being Indian myself, the name translates roughly to “Demoness”… You know she’s BAD!
