    1. “Slumming?” Well, yeah, okay, I’ll own that.
    2. Definitely no devoted MM podcast. I’d have to hear my own actual voice, which sounds nothing like the dulcet tones of the voices inside my head that compel me to blog. I do have something cute in mind for you guys, though.
    3. I think I have that Aquaman shirt, but it’s a medium and I’m currently an unambiguous large. Sad face.
    4. I’m a huge fan of the nine panel grid. Maximum story over flash. I’m all about density. Umm…
    5. Nice cue on teh Kansace (misspelled to avoid royalties…)
    6. “I’ve got this stone sour aftertaste …”
    7. I like characters to have unique qualities. One of my problems with Ronnie in the past has been his being a bit too much of a “dude.” That led to the over the top drunken fratboy stuff in Extreme Justice and even Brightest Day. A little piety to play off Jason’s secularism sounds good in theory, so long as he doesn’t go full Tebow.
    8. There was totally pottymouth last episode, too. Heck, I think it was Rob saying “dick” that got me doing it.
    9. The Fury of Firestorm, the Nuclear Men #6 is #119 per ICv2. There’s still a lot more books to cancel behind it, but it is now below the 20,000 copy kill line. When the Charlton and Wildstorm books get the ax, start sweating.
    10. “Firestorm” Season 2 #1?
    11. Linday Lohan was a hot mess during her original ginger days. She’s Stifler’s mom today. That’s a completely adulterated, cool damp mess. Still like Justice League, but Lindsay’s smarter.
    12. Joe Prado also designed, like, pretty much all the Black Lanterns and oodles of characters since.
    13. Rob’s right about Aquaman still being the essential Aquaman so far in the New 52. He was one of the few characters to escape Crisis relatively unscathed, as well. Shag’s just been polluted by PAD stuff.
    14. Sword of Atlantis under Tad Williams was swell. I need to get back to covering that run.
    15. Alex Ross made shiny metal hip. Now the colorists are doing it to everybody.
    16. I don’t see the point of PAD trades that relate so poorly to modern continuity when there’s stuff like the Pozner/Hamilton mini-series and the rest of the Skeates/Aparo run waiting. PAD would just confuse and dilute.
    17. How about New 52 Dr. Fate by Mike Carey and Travel Foreman?

  2. Shag(g), all kidding aside, you have kept me reading FIRESTORM past the time I would otherwise have quit the book. I was a fan of the original (Al Milgrom original) because he was DC’s version of “Spider-Man.” Then when Conway added him to the JLA I cried FOUL and started hating him. Partly it was because of Green Arrow’s comments, but mostly it was because he was younger than the Teen Titans and much more inexperienced. He just didn’t belong in the JLA. Now that he’s out again, I don’t mind him. I read and enjoyed the Jason Rousch version. I’ll hang on for another few issues because your affection for the character(s) is contagious, but I’m with Rob and the other commentator…something needs to be cleared up and things need to move ahead or I’m gonna drop it. Have a FIRESTORM’in day!! :-)

  3. Enjoyed this one a lot, guys – keep up the good woik..
    A.
