With a new Firestorm comes a new symbol. Using the images of Fury we’ve seen already, I quickly pulled together the image below. This is my attempt to represent Fury’s chest insignia/emblem/logo/symbol/whatever. I purposefully made the electron paths short (the white strips) so the image wasn’t too wide. I’m currently using this image for my Twitter icon.
In the symbol above, we know the black sun (upper left) represents Ronnie Raymond and the atomic symbol (upper right) represents Jason. What are the other four red circles for? Does this mean four more Firestorms could combine with Ronnie and Jason to form Fury? If so, what happens to Fury when others join? Questions, questions.
Below is a great image of Fury by Yildiray Cinar from THE FURY OF FIRESTORM: THE NUCLEAR MEN #2. Notice the symbol covering the moon matches the symbol in the middle of Fury’s chest emblem.
Just for comparison sake, I’ve included two previous Firestorm insignias.
Support Firestorm! Fan the flame!
Very nice work.
I think the biggest question mark in the series right now is Fury. He’s not the big dumb monster some of us thought he would be. He knows who he is and thinks he’s quite funny and seems to have a real mean streak too.
Mild spoilers ahead…
Another question is, there are six symbols, two belong to Ronnie and Jason. But as per FOF #1, if a panel seeming to show Earth’s other Firestorms (and one Firehawk!) is any indication, there are five, making R & J numbers 6 and 7. Is it possible that Jason was meant to be the sixth Firestorm and Ronnie got in the way causing a freak accident that caused the creation of two FS’s? (which would be a kind of throwback to the original story, as it was more fully revealed in the elemental period) Does Firehawk count as a Firestorm? Questions like these and wondering where they’ll go are helping make this new series interesting.
I like Fury having a personality…it makes him seem more than a Hulk ripoff.
