Shagg was right, I was going for Seuss, but Rob’s Etrigan comment has me thinking…maybe my next one should be a little darker, fit for a demon? I mean if there’s a next one…heck, of course there’ll be a next one, but like the Spanish Inquisition you won’t expect it!

As for Jaime Reyes…as the resident Blue Beetle guy, all I can say is after his book was cancelled he moved to the short lived “Threshold”…and has been MIA since that book ended (unless you count his appearances in “DC Universe vs. The Masters of the Universe”)

Charlton’s stuff did indeed look spongey, but the Marvel digests had horrible, glaring color that couldn’t be contained by any ink lines, and those ink lines were usually just dots that were breaking up. They are damn near illegible.

It was a real shame too, because Marvel Tales had reprinted Amazing Fantasy #15 and ASM #1-50, and then suddenly the reprints jumped over to that crappy Spidey digest. I was heart-broken.

It’s definitely worth watching. Genre shows always need a little time to get the ball rolling, but now that it’s got a head of steam behind it, the show is very good. And this coming from a guy who has no interest in Oliver Queen as a comic book character.

I hope that if Rob ordered some stuff off of Amazon using Sean’s identity, that he at least used the Amazon link at twotruefreaks.com

Chiaroscuro is also a delicious form grilled Brazilian meat. Right? 😉

@Earth-2 Chris: A digest with printing worse than a Charlton comic? Is that even possible? I have an unhealthy appreciation for Charlton War and Horror comics, but they look like they were printed on a type of sponge cake.

Wonder Woman did have two series in the Golden Age, because we really must count Sensation Comics.

The Others… I did kind of like it even if I dropped Johns’ Aquaman when their storyline started in the main book. Nothing to do with them, of course. Seeing them here, they each feel like they could star in their own short-lived series. I don’t know if that’s a positive or a negative though…

Rob’s ideas for the Bob Haney podcast? I know he was kidding, but I loved them. One step closer to reality!

Chiaroscuro: It was also a Vertigo series about Renaissance artists.

Hey Kids Comics!: You know I’m getting it as soon as I find it available in Canada, right? Its success is but delayed.
