Where is Red Robin? Who wants to steal from the world’s most famous man? And whatever happened to Stormwatch?

So, what have we learned Match-heads?  Well, let’s see…

  • The New 52 – Futures End takes place 5 years in the future
  • Firestorm is sporting a new look in this future. I was rather happy with his current costume, but this future costume looks pretty slick!
  • It’s possible Firestorm killed a member of the Justice League.
  • If I had to hazard a guess, it looks like issue #3 Firestorm will be center stage.
  • Finally, based upon a previous interview with Dan Jurgens, this 5-years-later Firestorm is composed of Ronnie & Jason.

My thanks to Michael A. Burstein and Ryan Daly (Count Drunkula) for the heads-up on these solicitations! Be sure to pre-order these from your comic dealer! Show your support for Firestorm!

  1. As I tweeted to you, Shag, I reeeaally like that Firestorm redesign. It’s one of precious few New 52 costume changes that have really impressed me, much more than Ethan Van Sciver’s looks for Ronnie, Jason and Fury. The “fire” part of his head and costume looks much more energy based; it really sells the Nuclear Man bit, and the rest of his look in general feels more cosmic which would be an interesting and, I think, deserved direction for the character if they’re going to press his connection to the spark of creation.

Also, regarding the Justice League member that Firestorm *may* have killed? I joked that I think Barry Allen is going to die again because…

    SPOILERS…

    Seriously, SPOILERS

The Flash isn’t part of either post-FOREVER EVIL Justice League lineup and Wally West is finally making his New 52 debut.

  2. Bill Powell says:

Take a look at the different heads on the Firestorm figure you posted earlier.. I was wondering what the yellow face was. Also there is a Jason and Ronnie head there so we might get a time share firestorm type situation..

    1. Shag says:

Hi Bill – The yellow face Firestorm head belongs to “Fury” from the Van Sciver/Simone/Harris era. Hope this helps!
