I'm with Earth-2 Chris here; the story was good, but it didn't make me do any cart-wheels in space. The ice statue thing bothered me A LOT and the idea that the JLA was the LSH of the current age really bothered me, too. With that idea Firestorm should have joined the Teen Titans! That is a different story. The scene itself between Superman and Firestorm was nice, though.

My favorite part of the podcast was youse guys either reading The Flash Hostess ad or Rob's comments about Robin. He got so upset his voice went up an octave or two! ;-)

Awesome episode, a great cross-over team-up between 2 of my favorite heroes and 2 of my favorite podcasts. I agree, this is one of those few DC Presents issues that spilled over into another DC Proper book or had lasting implications. That doesn't make any of the other one and done with no lasting implication tales any less enjoyable by any means, I assume it just made it easier to market and sell off the newstand since a young reader didn't need to have any awareness about the DCU to pick up this series and enjoy its one-shot style story telling. I think that's what made Batman B &B stories so great and popular as well.

Enjoyed hearing your three opinions on this issue.

Personally, I took Superman's comment in STAR Labs about Wonder Woman to be an acknowledgment, probably unnecessary, that New York City was more her turf at the time, he being outside his normal jurisdiction of Metropolis (not that it takes him long to get anywhere).

I wasn't as favorable as the three of you on this issue but I agree with most of your positive points, I think the same odd elements of the plot that you guys acknowledge during the show just affected me more negatively. I respect Conway as a writer, but he sometimes makes leaps of logic in his plots that I have a hard time swallowing.

Also, thanks for pointing out that the inker may have been responsible for some of the art inconsistencies. For some reason, I hadn't considered that and it may explain why some of the backgrounds, particularly some of the machinery left something to be desired when compared with other work by JLGL (PBHN).
