Great episode, me buckos! Rob, I’m glad you’re not letting the trolls get you down, but still, it’d be nice not to get the moaning mail in the first place. Cover what you like, if a book doesn’t grab you enough to share your thoughts – or even have any beyond >sigh< – then as Shag says, forget it, find your joy.

Scribblenauts sounds fun as these things go, but I couldn't master Binatone Tennis, never mind a modern video game.

Don’t knock Adventure Time as somehow exclusively for kids. It’s one of the better reads each month. Your kid has taste.

A Metal Men movie? What, are they going to do the Tangent version? I’m having a waking nightmare where the film looks exactly like a Transformers movie.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I believe I’ve got an old Green Lantern villain to research for Wednesday’s post. I’ll let you guess which one.

  3. I’m not completely through the episode yet, but Shag, I’ll stand with you guys against Rob’s “too popular” problem… and then go weep into my collection of Blue Devil comics.

Hello Shag, I’ve wandered over here from the Aquaman Shrine thanks to y’all’s excellent podcast. I mostly just wanted to say that I’ve enjoyed discovering your blog, but I also wanted to ask a question that’s been bothering me for years.

Do you happen to know why Firestorm never appeared on Bruce Timm’s JLU? He would have been a perfect fit for the expanded League. I’m guessing there was some sort of rights issue, but I thought you’d probably have the skinny.

    Thanks for such great entertainment!

  5. […] Ga…2013. It is freaking hot outside but errands have to be run. I’m listening to the latest (at the time anyway) episode of the Fire and Water Podcast, hosted by Rob Kelly and the Irredeemable Shag. It is a top notch […]

Captain Carrot and the entire Zoo Crew are gonna be in Scribblenauts! I meant to do a blog entry on it when I found out, but I’ve just been too busy lately to update.
