Shag, thanks for reading my comment for episode 27... and not mentioning my name! Looks like the skydiving gave you drain bamage. ;)

I didn't even think about Aquaman killing Manta's flunkie in the issue because to me it represented what Mera and Y'wara (or however you spell it) said earlier: He's not acting like himself. Shag made the point and I tend to agree, this is very personal to Arthur and he is not acting like his normal self. He is losing control of his anger because of the feelings Manta causes inside of him. At leats that is my take on it!

Thanks for the entertaining show once again!

I think referencing series from the past is ill-advised.

However, I propose the Justice League movie address the multiverse in a different way. At the moment, it seems that Man of Steel will lead into a JL film, which will then splinter off into various solo films/franchises. But wouldn't that hamstring the hell out of the solo franchises' creative teams? Wouldn't they be bound to the continuity of the JL film's events? Wouldn't Superman suddenly become a lot less special in his solo films if he's suddenly surrounded by super beings?

Not if each of the heroes comes from a different earth, brought together to cease the destruction of all existence. Supes would come from Earth 1, Bats would come from Earth 2, etc. Personally, I'd put all the Batman, Green Arrow, Huntress type characters on the same Earth. It would explain why they're relevant in spite of having no powers. This way, each franchise gets its own continuity, its own tone, etc. The only problem at that point would be casting, and it would raise the question of where the JL film's conflict would actually take place.

Shag, I like Fire and Water. I like Firestorm Fan. I even like you as a person. But Shag, you're wrong. Keith Samera(?) was DEAD on. Midway through listening to F&W #30, the wheels began spinning within my head. I came to the same conculsion as Keith then, 10 minutes later, you read his email about introducing the concept of the multiverse into the DCMU (DC Movie Universe). It was like some universal sense of destiny. Keith was wrong about only ONE thing though. He didn't go big enough.

Forget the voiceover. Have the ENTIRE JLA movie play out as it should and then, in the final scene, as the camera pans away, fade to credits. Once the credits are over, cut back to that EXACT scene pre-credits and continue the pan out...only to reveal the whole thing is being watched on a series of monitors. On other monitors (merely as easter eggs to the fans) you can see images from the bale batman movies or the reeve superman movies or the ryan reynolds GL movie. Then pan out still further to see a man seated in a chair with a blonde woman dressed in blue standing next to him...pan out still further to see they're in a satillite in deep space. Not a word need be said. Fade to black.

If the Marvel Movie Universe can use Thanos, who's to say the DCMU can't use the Monitor and begin a "Crisis"-LIKE (I said LIKE) story? It's that simple Shag. But, as has been said before, you just need the right TALENT to write, direct and produce the thing.
