I think the tone, motifs and characters will have a decidedly different feel this time around. That could be disappointing for classic Firestorm fans.

However, that doesn’t mean the series will be disappointing. Gail Simone is one of the best writers DC has. Yildiray Cinar is a great up-and-comer. And Ethan van Sciver is a creative monster whose ideas, while not always appealing to all, are certainly memorable.
