However, when it first came out I couldn’t help but notice that it seems to imply 3-merging-to-1 in its symbology. I’ve been wondering ever since who else the matrix was going to add besides Ronnie & Jason. Stein maybe?

It’s missing pieces, and no longer looks like an atom! Though the original design is still present on Firestorm’s costume, thankfully; I think it was just “clipped” so it wouldn’t bleed off the edges of the cover.
