I think (hope?) it’s just for the show. I watch it regularly and they focus on humorous juxtapositions and the writeup does just that (brains controls the body and the dumb jock gives advice?).
I mean, I guess it could work if you consider Ronnie the seasoned veteran but it seems clear they’re going to dumb-down Ronnie on the show.
I really think Firestorm needs some stability though. Too many flip-flopping matrix members will confuse people and turn Firestorm into an unfortunate soap opera.
They need to figure out a way to give flamehead some dramatic punch without changing the matrix every couple of months.

Luke – I agree! The pairing of Jason and Ronnie could really work. I just hope they don’t dumb-down Ronnie. I’ll miss Professor Stein, but I think this new combination has lots of possibilities.

I could get behind that pairing as the “real” Firestorm. Especially with the amount of attenion which both Jason and Ronnie have been getting in Blackest Night.
